Stages overview

Stage 1 - Catherine Creek Road Race

The popular Catherine Creek road race returns with a new modified start on Pocahontas with 78 miles of rolling terrain challenges through Baker and Union County on part of the Grande Tour Scenic Route

Stage 2 - 2024 Baker City Time Trial

The Time Trial this year features one noticeable yet rolling climb and finishes on a slight downhill.  Be prepared to wind up a big gear in the last 5 miles!

Stage 3 - Baker City Downtown Criterium

6 corner criterium with wide roads in historic, downtown Baker City. A spectator friendly course, this crit is as fast as it is flat.

Stage 4 - Anthony Lakes Road Race

The final stage ends with a bang as Baker City Cycling Classic returns to Anthony Lakes for 2024. The final, punishing 3500' climb is a proving ground for champions and a tremendous accomplishment for any finishing rider.

You'll hit several less significant climbs earlier in the day and start to feel the lactate burn even before you encounter the final climb. National Forest Service Road 73 is considered one of the toughest climbs in the Pacific Northwest.
