BELLA Team Training Camp

Attention: Camp cancelled for 2023 planning new dates 2024

The BELLA Development Team Training Camp is a great way to improve fitness, confidence and technique before racing the Baker City Cycling Classic. You will cycle between 50 and 70 miles a day and will be coached on how best to climb, descend and corner as well as receiving invaluable advice and guidance from Julie Cutts Peterson on training for BCCC.

The weekend will be working on mastering the art of ascending and descending on a road bike in the Elkhorn mountains in Baker County. You’ll need a good level of fitness as there is no such thing as a flat stretch of road here.

During the training camp you will stay in the eight bed dormitory camp residence at Churchill School.  All of your meals are included with Chef Amy Young from Young Roots farm with farm to table delicious food!

Days start at 8am with  breakfast and a compulsory morning stretch before you set off on a three to four hour training ride with your Team. Finish the ride ending at Churchill School with dinner and choice to have a massage by Alicia Haberman from Honey Bee Massage and injury prevention and stretching with local yoga instructor Sarah LaCompte.
